Every year, Seymour Good shares a letter with a poem and a call for help through donations.
Your contributions in the form of cash and checks will have lasting effects.
“The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward.” - Carol Ryrie Brink
Seymour Good is back at it again
We hope we are not interrupting your zen
It is about that time for Mariah to get back on the radio
And for everyone’s kitchen to smell like gingerbread dough
No truer words have ever been spoken
You all keep giving your heart without a return token
Seymour has eaten his morning oat
To continue as Carol Ryrie Brink had wrote
All these years looking for no praise
Last year, $29,209.00 is the amount you raised
So here we are asking for a hand
Help us make this Christmas grand
Last Christmas Eve, ninety-two children experienced a knock on their door
Where your help put presents on their floor
Clothing, toys and fresh fruit
All came down the chimney chute
Now comes Seymour’s hook
Asking you, once again, to open your checkbook
Matching gift (hint/hint EIN# 830853571)
For thirty plus years you have improved many lives
Let’s not let this tradition take a dive
9am, 13th of December
Make sure you remember
JC Penny in the Westfield Mall in Bayshore
Be there for good ole Seymour!
“We should give as we would receive, cheerfully, quickly and without hesitation; for there is no grace in a benefit that sticks to the fingers” - Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Seymour Good is looking to continue the mission
Writing to you to carry on the tradition
Great things have been accomplished because of you
So let’s go to work without further ado
66 children, 4 veteran families and an orphanage were treated like kings
To ease life’s sting
Winter coats were had by all
Hoping they still fit the following fall
On December 24th, there will be an anonymous knock on the door
So everyone can have a little bit more
Because of your good deed
We continue to help those in need
As Seneca has written, cheerfully, quickly and without hesitation
Once again, can we count on your participation?
For many years you have demonstrated grace
Your donation with help continue our giving pace
Whether it be matching gifts (hint/hint EIN# 830853571), check or cash
Seymour needs your help with the Christmas Eve dash
Whatever you can donate, we give many thanks
Ladies and gentleman, open up your piggy banks
December 14th, 9am on the dot
JC Penny in the Westfield Mall in Bayshore is the spot
Come one! Come all! With Christmas cheer!
For there is no better way to finish the year
“The one who plants trees, knowing that he or she will never sit in their shade,
has at least started to understand the meaning of life” - Rabindranath Tagore
Thirty-four years ago Seymour planted a seed
And its growth is helping those in need
Seymour is asking for you to continue this good deed
To keep the tree growing without a single weed
Your donation of $29,545 took root
Giving 21 families, 60 children and an orphanage the ability to hoot!
Toys, food, clothing, diapers and wipes were all delivered in route
And the act of giving was part of the commute
It all stems from your giving
We couldn't do it without you, Seymour isn’t kidding!
We never want the growth to stop
Without you, it would be a big flop
With your continued generosity Seymour’s mission will not flutter like a leaf
Can we count on you to give some families relief?
Every contribution helps
With every donation Seymour’s heart melts
You have created a spot for children to sit in the shade
Because of the donations you have made
You understand the meaning of life
By eliminating a child’s strife
On December 16th we will gather
Show up with some Christmas swagger
9am at Bayshore JCPenney
In Westfield Mall, laughs will be plenty
“Kindness is doing what you can, where you are, with what you have.” - RAKtivist
It's almost the end of 2022
You know what that means, this letter is a clue
Through the years Seymour Good has seen your kindness on display
Let us get to work there is no time to delay
With every year we continue to grow
With your continued support we will never plateau
Your donations of $31,555 changed the lives of many in need
Let's continue the work of this great deed
78 people (26 families) experienced your generosity
Let’s keep it going with no viscosity
Diapers, wipes and onesies were given to the youngest of all
Reaffirming no act is too small
Once again you are an amazing group
Creating the feeling of a warm bowl of soup
It is because of your loyalty
We treat these families like royalty
Kindness is something inside all of you
Seymour hopes you are not through
Your donation is always appreciated
Making the stress for needy families alleviated
On December 17th we will wrap and shop
Come along with a hop
JC Penny at 9am it will begin
Feel free to bring your next of kin
“What people see you do may not be remembered; what they hear you say may be forgotten, but how they feel your intervention in their times of need will forever be remembered” - Israelmore Ayivor
Seymour is starting to get things in motion
Always relying on your devotion
Four seasons have come and gone
Seymour is back and now it’s game on
We raised $26,445 last year, an all time high
An impressive feat, no one can deny
21 families received the Christmas Eve knock
Because all of you rock!
Every penny goes to purchasing clothing, toys, diapers, and food
All hand delivered by Seymour and his crew with a cheerful attitude
Seymour does not know what he would do without all of you
Each of you is the glue!
As Ayivor said, your intervention matters
Your impact is something that will never tatter
So once again Seymourgood is calling on you
To help create memorable stew
Let’s give the less fortunate a lift
Seymour is counting on you and your gift
Your contribution will have lasting effects
In the form of cash, Matching Gifts (hint/hint EIN# 830853571) and checks
9 am on the 18th of December
We will need every member
JC Penny is where it all starts
